I awakened the other day like any other day.
I noticed I had missed a call on my phone, so I went to call back. I could not connect to anyone. Now, mind you, I need my phone to make appointments, to make money, to live. Thankfully, I was able to send a text back and make the appointment for later that day. Still, I could not call anyone, people could not call and talk to me. It read ‘SOS’ where it should read 5G. I found SOS meant that I could only call 911. Ha. At that point, I thought it be better to see SOL. I’m so glad I kept a sense of humor. When I left my office and got closer to the phone store, the phone worked fine. This happened twice – the first time my phone got reset at the store, the second time I got a new SIM card. Still trying to keep it light. Hours later still no phone. Next, my daughter called T-Mobile since I’m on her account. She would have to have them reset my phone from the main office. She worked on it for like two hours. And to think this blog was to be about how Facebook let me know that I was to let them know if my page was appropriate for children under 13. It struck me as odd. I did no swear on Facebook posts, well maybe, shit and there’s no nudity. I tried to look up a list that would not be proper for someone under 13, but there was not one. One of my friend’s whose job is in social media for a nudist colony has never gotten a notice, although she had seen it before. I finally talked to my daughter about it, and she said children under 13 should not be on Facebook. I totally agreed with that comment. And so, I’m in the process of trying to find where to report my page is fine. If I don’t do so by the cutoff date, less people will see my page, which is Life in Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp – Mayberry It Is. And it is – Mayberry. Funny thing is well before that I noticed my views dropping off to less than a handful, which was odd. I have more than one thousand followers. I normally had at least 150 to 300 taking notice of my posts – sometimes more. It’s when it finally occurred to me. I wondered if someone reported my page because I’m a Spiritualist. I’d really like to think that’s not it. I mean really there’s all kinds of religious information everywhere on Facebook. Most religions believe in some type of afterlife. And now after two hours of my daughter calling T-Mobile and resetting my phone by calling the main phone number and connecting twice with two separate people, they said my phone was fine all along. Ha Well heck – yes, it is! Backstory: My daughter told me a few months ago that she and her husband were changing their phones and thought I should just get my own plan. I was getting ready to have my separate account, and then this occurred. New phone company? Perhaps. Or maybe it’s just my energy that plays with electronics. I really cannot have that, unless of course I win the lottery. And through all of this – driving back and forth to the store twice and getting my phone to work with texting only – I really kept my cool until I was told I did not. I did keep my cool. I’m sure my insides were boiling over, which would be felt by an empath. Perception is a bitch that will lie to your face. Is that language really inappropriate for children under 13? Doubtfully. Have you heard what some teenagers talk about? Maybe not, we all do get busy with life – making a living, making things work. Perhaps, we’re not hearing well, or paying attention – just keeping busy with what we need to get done. Maybe, it’s time to slow down, breathe and reassess what life is truly about. Thankfully, at the end of the day, I pulled my ears up from going down the rabbit hole, which really may have been a better place to be, for at least a few moments. Blessings of Peace and Love Here’s one: It took me years to figure out how to stream music from my laptop through Skype for my online development classes. Guess what? Skype is going bye-bye. LOL
