Just finished my eight week session of classes. I have now made the last class a tradition of demonstrating transfiguration and then having each of the class members give it a go.
Transfiguration happens when a medium sits in meditation with a red light in the room. The medium’s face will change and everyone in the room sees it, which makes it true phenomena. It’s funny. I have a friend who once told me it’s an optical illusion. Made me laugh so hard and still does. I invited him to come and check it out, to no avail. Naysayers, if you don’t try, don’t knock it. So, when the faces change, it could be past lives of the sitter, guides of the sitter or loved ones of those watching the demonstration. Before class started, a friend of mine and I readied the room. I bought a vaseful of fresh flowers. She took out the regular lightbulbs and screwed in one red bulb in the front socket. I used sage in the room and said a prayer or two. The red bulb flickered a couple of times because it wasn’t a dimmer switch bulb. It settled down though. Class arrived. I sat first and they sang a couple of songs. The favorite of the evening was Jingle Bells. Singing raises the vibration of the room. Everyone chattered about the face changes and one young woman saw her grandfather. Her voice cracked as she spoke. Later another student mentioned that she saw a white light on my forehead. I believe it. My third eye was wide open. Each student sat for about 10 minutes. It was absolutely phenomenal. We saw spirit lights (tiny twinkling lights, like stars), felt temperature changes, saw ectoplasm forming and many many faces. The last student sat. We saw a man with who reminded someone of Van Morrison, which could not be because he is alive. After a while one of the students started singing Moondance by Morrison. As she sang the front red light flickered to the beat of the song. We were all amazed. I know you naysayers are thinking it was the wrong bulb. Ha. It did not flicker for two straight hours. Later, we decided it was drummer Peter Van Hooke who played with Morrison for years. It turns out the sitter during the light flickering phenomena was the lighting designer for Morrison while on tour for 14 years. She knew it was Peter. She sensed it. I love it! Blessings of Peace and Love!

I have to say taking classes in Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp can be pretty interesting sometimes. Yes, we learn and most times have a great a laugh. I was in the Mediumship Program for nearly four years all together. Think of the classes – so many. It’s like a college in some ways.
For years, I attended a night class. One time I heard the teacher say he was going to do a workshop for a group of vampires. Someone piped up, ‘the blood sucking ones?’ Hehehe Just the other night in a healing class, the teacher was talking about a healing that occurred when the recipient started spitting out kidney stones. Cool, right? A student said something about being sure that it wasn’t fillings. LOL We do get a little slap happy at times. The fillings remark reminded me of a visiting presenter who said he was able to be used as an instrument for phenomena and that crystals would come out of his mouth. I really wanted to go to that one, but couldn’t. I did hear something the next day about how the presenter may have had the crystals in places where teeth once resided. It’s good to be a skeptic. Seriously though, classes don’t get any better than in Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp. During my first healing class of the week, we talked about the eighth chakra – and healing that area, which includes divine love, spiritual compassion and karmic residue. It’s also ‘the gateway to other ideas, concepts and abilities.’ It was a little too personal for me to allow someone in a class to dip into that area of my being, so in the bathroom I wondered how I was going to get out of it. Back in the room, I said something to the neighboring student and another heard us chatting. Finally, I spoke up – not to cause any problems, but I’m not comfortable with others getting into that area. To lighten the mood, I said I don’t even like to wash my clothes with other people’s. The class roared. I got up to close the door that connects to the kitchen and front room because apparently Mrs. Slater, the previous owner of the house, now in spirit, was having a tea party. The teacher did a fabulous meditation to clear our eighth chakra. And in class last night, we worked with contact healing. At the end of the class two students worked in tandem to heal my areas of concern. I let the students know where I resided in hopes they would continue after class, to no avail. Fabulous healing and energy. It gets no better than this. Blessings of Peace and Love! Sometimes life really bites. People don’t treat you right. They put you down. Talk about you behind your back. Treat you differently because you didn’t do what they wanted you to do.
It’s best to realize that situations aren’t really about you – it’s about them and where they are at in their spiritual evolution. Yes, you can always leave because you’re not a tree. LOL But then you realize that others rely on you. An elder in the community had a bit of a health scare the other day. The community came together to help. We soon realized all that really mattered was that she was OK. We came together for a common cause. I love that! In another instance, a friend of mine recently needed my help, so I saw it through as far as I could. Eventually, I called in a family member because there was nothing more I could do. In fact, I could feel my whole vibration shift for a couple of days. Yes, I felt bad about it, but realized I had to take care of myself. Yes, we’re here to help others, but how far do we go. I’ve always believed that when you help others eventually someway, somehow, someday someone will help you. It’s true. When I help one person, I do not expect to receive from that person. I help because I want to. I know the universe sees and has my back. My daughter helps people too. She drove to South Carolina in a rented truck to pick up a friend and move her back to Florida. She and her boyfriend had broken up. My daughter never expected to be paid back. In the end, like two years later, her friend moved out, which allowed for the cockroaches to move out as well. Yikes! Life, isn’t always easy. Be grateful. I am grateful for so many things – food, shelter, health, family, friends and even those who are not here for my highest and best. I can learn a lot from those people, mostly not to be like them. The word grateful has always been a wonder to me. I don’t like the way it’s spelled. It just doesn’t make sense. Grate is to make something into small shreds. Or to make an unpleasant rasping sound. Perhaps, it’s to remind us that yes life isn’t always the easiest, but we can still make a difference, regardless of other people’s antics. I saw this lovely little quote by Healing Energy Tools on Facebook: ‘Vibrate love. Nothing can happen to you that isn’t meant to be for your highest good.’ I love that! Love is all we need! It’s been a long week; clouds covering the sun for days upon days. And chilly at night. Finally, the sun came out today – such a joyous day! I rolled the windows down and turned up the music on the way home from Publix. When I pulled into my parking spot, I finished jamming out to the tune, ‘Ain’t that America’ by John Mellencamp. For a fleeting moment, I wanted to forget everything, cruise to the beach with the windows down and rock out. Ah, the beach – I miss it so much.
One of my posts this week on Facebook: ‘Yes, summer is back this week! Well, ok, maybe spring.’ I definitely have a bounce in my step today; it could be because I’m teaching class tonight. Yay! Deep down I know it’s mostly the warmth of the sun. It’s funny how weather can change our emotions, feelings and moods. I know for me when it stays cloudy for days, I become stagnant at times, or even blue – not wanting to do anything but binge watch something on Netflix. When it gets cold, I’d rather stay home. I bought a good down feather jacket this year. LOL Backstory: My daughter, a double water sign, likes cloudy, rainy days. One time while driving down the road she said to me, ‘Sometimes I think I can make it rain when I’m sad.’ Interesting concept. I didn’t fully grasp it until years later when I was truly upset. I said to her, ‘Now I know what you meant about making it rain.’ If enough people were in that state of being, I believe it could happen. The trick is to remain in a joyous mood regardless of what is going on with the weather; regardless of what is going on in life; regardless of anything. We can all take a lesson in that. The next time there’s a cloudy, gloomy, rainy day I’m going to think sunshine, the beach and livestream 95.7 the HOG. Blessings of Peace and Love! P.S. I wrote this blog on Tuesday. Talk about beating a deadline! We are all truly gifted individuals.
At times, we define ourselves in ways that are accepted by family, society and culture. One of my first teacher’s in Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp asked the class one night, ‘Who are you?’ I responded with the typical, mother, sister, aunt, friend, teacher, writer and he said, ‘No, who are you? Think about it.’ Finally, it dawned on all of us: We are spiritual beings. It’s true we are all powerful spiritual beings. Again, we are truly gifted individuals. It says so in 1 Corinthians 12 – The Gifts of the Holy Spirit. Each of us has received gifts from Spirit to include wisdom, knowledge, faith, to heal, to do miracles, prophecy, discernment of spirit, speak in tongues (other languages unknown to persons) and interpretation of tongues. All the gifts are produced by one and the same Spirit. Gifts are given to each and every person. In addition to being a powerful spiritual being, one of the gifts I received was to heal – faith and to do miracles fall under that scope. I relearned this again in healing class the other night. I am a Reiki Level II Practitioner and Arcing Light Teacher. I received attunements through a Reiki Master and Arcing Light Teacher (founder), and of course the powers that be – Spirit. As a healer, I am a conduit of the healing energies that flow through me to the recipient to heal body, mind and/or spirit. To be a conduit of the healing energy, the healer must step aside (mentally) – move to a place of just being. I’ve always been a healer. Backstory: When I was around 7 years old, I’d go upstairs to rub my aunt’s feet. They were sore all the time. I’d use lotion to rub her feet, her ankles and lower calves. I didn’t always like to do it, but would be swayed by my father. I remember my aunt would say, ‘You have healing hands.’ I just thought it felt good to her, not knowing the full depth of what she was saying. So here I am, a healer and a prophet, also known as a seer. What are your Gifts of the Holy Spirit? You’re not much different than I am. We all receive Holy Gifts from the same God. It’s time we all start to awaken to our true selves, and come to the understanding that we are one and we are all powerful spiritual beings. Blessings of Peace and Love! |
