It’s been a rough eight, nine months. I am a healer. I am also in the student program as a healer at Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp. We have not had hands on healing in services for what seems like forever. I miss it so much that strangers have shared their troubles with me - once while doing laundry and another time at the grocery store.
Yes, a lot of things have changed this past year, but in this instance I have not. I am still a healer. Of course, I have been sending healing energy to the people in this country, to the people in the world. It’s not the same as hands on healing, though.
Thank goodness the third installment of the healing class I’ve been taking recently started. In last week’s class, we practiced hands on healing. It felt so good to be a conduit of the healing energy, allowing the energy to flow to the client’s needs.
In addition, I have been attending the Healing Meditation Circle from 11 a.m. to noon on Thursdays in the meeting hall of the Andrew Jackson Davis Educational Building. Those who are there send healing energy to people who are on the healing lists – usually a couple hundred names. One time the reverend in charge allowed me to lead the healing meditation. Afterward, a woman approached me and said that my mediation was so healing. Her daughter had just graduated to the higher side of life. We spoke briefly. She filled out a Healing Statement for me. Healing Statements are needed to become a Certified Healer. I was so excited. It felt so good to have made a difference in someone’s life.
In that sense, we all have the power to heal – to heal self, friends, relationships, situations, the world, etc. All we really need to do is to set the intention to heal and the universe may conspire to make it happen. Yes, may. One thing that I have learned is that for a healing to truly take place it must be in divine alignment, although in some instances we can will it. I believe things happen for our highest and best, regardless of what we want.
As you should know by now, I am a Certified Medium in Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp. Mediums are Healers. We help people who are in need, but in a different way than the laying on of hands. We connect the client with those loved ones in the Spirit World. We prove that life exists after so-called death.
Remember, during these times, we are all able to make a difference. All we have to do is send healing to the world and hope – hope for the best outcome possible. We shall see what is in divine order.
Blessings of Peace and Love!
Last week at the gym I saw an employee walking around with a customer. They were looking for the woman’s glasses. She had no idea where she put them down. I was on StairMaster so wanting to get involved.
A few days later that same staff worker was walking around with another customer looking for another item. It’s when I coined her new name, ‘Keeper of Lost Things.’ The employee smiled. Her whole aura changed.
Have I mentioned I love to look for things that are missing? I don’t walk around to look. I go into my mind’s eye and see where they are. It’s a blessing.
Backstory: One of my friend’s was looking for a particular necklace. She called me and asked where it was. I saw a green type of material that when moved, the item would be found. After some hunting, she found it. Another time while at her house, she was looking for her other laptop. I saw a yellow carpet near it. We went to her storage unit and when she opened the door, the yellow carpet was draped across items. We didn’t find the laptop, but I insisted it had to be there. We came back the next day. After digging a bit, the laptop was found.
I just love to look for things that are lost.
Backstory: I had a neighbor in the Spiritualist Camp knock on my door. Her ex-husband had recently passed and she really wanted to find her wedding and engagement rings. I said I saw them in a dresser with many small drawers. An hour or so later she came back excited as get out that she found the rings. I was pleased for her.
Back at the gym, one time a younger man was looking for his jump rope. He thought a friend of his was ‘messing’ with him. I stopped, thought about it and saw it hanging on a piece of equipment. It was there.
A few days after the ‘Keeper of Lost Things’ had made these finds, I noticed keys hanging from the hook on a bathroom stall. I left them there. On the way out, I told her where they were in case someone came looking for them. She said, ‘I never would’ve thought to look there.’ We laughed.
Thank you Spirit for letting me get involved! Made my day!
Remember, we are one and every single thing is connected to the one. If you think you can do it, you can.
Many Blessings of Peace and Love!
This blog marks year two! Where did the time go? Better yet, what is time? Time seems to standstill in Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp. It’s definitely the energy here – no doubt about it. Mediums have been working with the Spirit World in this area since 1894.
I love the energy here. It’s why I started the phenomena circle at Slater House. Mrs. Slater, long ago on the higher side of life, always gets a greeting from us when we arrive. Last week I had a student sage and say prayers to ready the room while I took care of other business in the kitchen. Minutes later we took our seats and waited for others to arrive. I smelled the air and said, ‘This does not smell like white sage. It smells more like cedar.’ The student agreed. Now, how does that happen? My best guess is Mrs. Slater preferred it and made it happen. We shared with the others when they arrived.
Two weeks ago, we could hear Mrs. Slater in the kitchen – perhaps making spaghetti, as one student smelled, and later doing the dishes. We all heard the latter, which makes it a true phenomenon. We have seen Spirit lights on one another and throughout the room and have heard raps and what sounded like rustling in the corner. Last week I looked down toward my chest and saw Spirit lights – very cool.
Last year the Slater House was gifted with thick curtains – the ones like you’d find on a stage. Not a peep of light can seep through, which is a definite plus. We sit with the red lights dimmed. To raise the energy, we have fresh flowers and last week we sang. Spirit enjoyed that! Raise that energy!! Most times we’ll talk about phenomena that has occurred in our lives. Spirits pile in to listen.
Around Halloween, the Spiritualist Camp had a fundraiser called Spirit Crawl. Groups of 10 went to several buildings to explore phenomena. My daughter and I took one group. The Slater House was our last stop. Lots of phenomena happening. Toward the end of our time, I spied out of the corner of my eye, a blue light shaped like a wand just over a foot high on the door that leads to the library. It was amazing – most everyone saw it!
Mrs. Slater showed herself once again at a healing class I attended a couple of nights ago. She was in the kitchen. I first smelled coffee and asked if anyone could smell it. Yep, they could. And then peanut butter cookies. Yum!
I just checked with a Camp elder to confirm that Mrs. Slater was a not a medium in this organization, although a Spiritualist. Her grandfather was one of the first to settle here. It was his request that no grass grow on the front lawn, but only flowers. The elder said one could smell the flowers several houses away. I also learned that Mrs. Slater enjoyed cooking and her specialty was, you guessed it, cookies. I love it!
I’d like to believe phenomena happens everywhere, and I have witnessed it in other places. I do believe it definitely occurs just a little bit more here in Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp.
By the way, I recently started a YouTube channel. You can find me at From the Ethers Lori Carter. Please like and subscribe.
Blessings of Peace, Love and Phenomena!
You know what bugs me more than anything? It’s when people think I shouldn’t have an opinion about something and voice it. Yes, I am a Spiritualist Medium in Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp, and I help people. I am so grateful that I am able to. It does not mean that I am not human.
I know I’ve told you this before, but just a little reminder – I am reporter and my Mercury, the planet of communication, is in Sagittarius, which is also my Sun sign. Trust me when I say I have learned to tone it down a bit, but when it comes to something near and dear to my heart, I will pick up that sword and fight for what I feel is right. I won’t apologize for it either.
When I do speak my truth, I get some flack and it’s OK. I had a friend’s grown daughter attack me because I posted my thoughts on Facebook. Her thoughts are that I’m supposed to be acting a certain way in regard to my professions (reporter and medium). I stated my truth fairly and intelligently. She called me names and laughed. I have also noticed some mediums around here, at least one in particular, who is not pleased with my comments. I have to say at least I speak my truth and do not hide behind a façade. Again, I will not apologize for it and I will not hide who I am.
I followed my post up with a quote, one that I have been posting periodically for several months: ‘The world will not be destroyed by those who do evil, but by those who watch them without doing anything’ – Albert Einstein.
Perhaps by speaking up, it will allow a pathway to open for others to do the same, regardless of what your truth is. It’s best to express, rather than allowing your emotions to eat you up inside to cause disease.
Remember, and I have to remind myself too, that we made sacred contracts with people before we came to this earth plane - to help one another grow. If you don’t speak up, it may change that sacred contract. Yes, sacred contracts can be broken, and in the grand scheme of things maybe the person who attacked me was a sacred contract.
Even though I have an opinion you might not like, it doesn’t mean that I cannot help you. Same goes for you – if you have an opinion someone might not like, it’s OK. You can still help others, you can still be on your Spiritual Path.
Many Blessings of Peace and Love!
