Circle of Protection

A wasp showed itself out of the blue the other day in my office while my daughter was working. When I arrived, it looked like a bomb had exploded. I saw that my flip-flop was on top of the small table by my reading chair. I knew that poor soul, the wasp, had to be under it.

The first thing I thought of was the animal totem, which is about new beginnings and bringing positive change to one’s life, and then of course, I thought of the less than energies.

For a wasp to get into my place, it first must travel through the screened porch. Yes, I have seen wasps on my porch. I have not ever had one make it into my place, let alone the kitchen area.

As I have always said, there is good and less than good in everything (Law of Duality). I called a Wiccan friend of mine who is also a Spiritualist, and we decided to salt the entire building.

After snipping the corner of a Ziploc, I poured the sea salt in. We walked around the building creating a circle of protection, allowing only good energies to pass through. Next, we did the windowsills and doorways, both inside and out. Once done, we sat and enjoyed the new cleansed energy. It truly made a difference.

Backstory: One other time I salted the same building myself. In one area of the yard, it burned a hole into the ground. I was shocked and still am as I think back on it.

Some people might consider this hocus-pocus. I consider it protection against less than good energies. It took me a minute to get there, I must admit.

Another practice brought to my attention was to ‘freeze’ people out of your life. If you want someone out of your life, write their name on a piece of paper, fold it as tiny as you can and put it in the back corner of your freezer. After I dared to do this, I found less situations with those who are not a vibrational fit. Then I learned other people I know have
done it too. It’s about protecting yourself.

I’m sure most of you have heard about putting the white light up around you for protection. The light comes from within and is the spark of God that each of has access to.  

The appearance of the wasp was interesting. I like the animal totem aspect. It doesn’t hurt to protect yourself from energies and intentions that may be less than good toward you.

Later, I said to my daughter that wasp probably came from the garbage can.
