It’s a big deal to put your shingle outside of your office in Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp. Becoming a certified medium, healer and teacher is no easy feat. Years of study, mediumship circles and public demonstrations not to mention the self-healing needed to continue to evolve.
My shingle, which is 24 inches by 18 inches (regulation size), was created by the elder who did just about everyone’s shingle as well as other signage in Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp. They are beautiful. I was one of her last clients. I went to her home; her artwork was showcased in every room. I was happy when she decided to create my shingle. I gave her my business card for the possible color scheme – blue, indigo, purple. A week passed when I finally got the call. I was excited. She was able to get the purple in the sign, a little silver and bright pink. Remarkably, I loved the pink. I could feel the energy of love put into it. Backstory: My shingle was bright and bold. The day I brought it to my office one of the mediums in the near vicinity claimed that it was larger than hers. I showed the president at the time the first chance I had that it was the same size. My beloved shingle is retiring after nearly six years. In its place anew. It reads: ‘LORI CARTER (in black) Spiritualist Medium (in pink) Healer & Teacher (in purple) with my website FromTheEthers.com (in blue) and my phone number (in black). It also has art: A woman’s healing hand holding planet Earth. From Earth, a dreamier like as if an etheric Earth begins to Ascend and finally in the result a transparentized pyramid with Hebrew written within. In ways, I’m sad for old to go. I will keep it in my office once I figure out how to hang this new shingle. It’s good to clean things out, or throw them away, and replace with new, a new energy, to whom I have become in the past nearly six years. Looking forward to the next chapters. Blessings of Peace and Love!
