Thursday, I decided to do a special card draw for my YouTube Channel, From the Ethers. I wasn’t sure what deck to use, so I grabbed my regular Fortune Telling Destiny Cards, which can be a little brutal at times, and Spirit Oracle Guidance Cards.
I was in a bit of a hurry because I was heading over to my daughter’s for a fun-filled family holiday. I started with my regular deck – and several cards kept falling out, not just one. In one group: the 7 of Hearts – ‘warns of a quarrel between any two people who love each other. Guard against words spoken in anger – they may cause a permanent break. Use constructive methods to mend a relationship.’ Keep shuffling. And the 7 of Clubs – ‘is a card of caution. It warns that plans may topple due to an unstable effort, carelessness and indifference. Do not announce success prematurely, it may be illusionary.’ I’m like yipes! Those sounded like perfect scenarios for Thanksgiving. LOL. I chose to use the other deck. On the way to my daughter’s, I told myself just to be quiet, no matter what. Enjoy the company. Enjoy the food. Laugh it up. I arrived. The turkey was cooking, although not in the planned smoker. I was told to be quiet by my daughter-in-law. I spilled on my card draws. We laughed it up. My son-in-law was deciding how the vehicles should be parked. My daughter assisted in the conversation. I’m still not sure how seven, no wait eight cars got crammed into that space. Ingenious. My daughter-in-law cooked the brie, which was in homemade bread. She wanted to add some cranberry sauce and could not get the can opener to work. My daughter took the handheld contraption that worked but took quite a while to getter done. I said it reminds me when I shopped for mine. The customer service rep asked me what kind I wanted because there were plenty to choose from. My response: ‘One that works.’ A few minutes later my daughter-in-law was busy doing something on her phone and then announced to my daughter that an electric can opener would be delivered to her door in a matter of days. We laughed. No matter what arose we laughed it up and had a fabulous time. Backing out of my parking space was another story. Thankful for my daughter who received my mother’s backing skills. Whew! Hope everyone else had a fabulous time too! Blessings!
