Signs that you need a vacation:
1. The maintenance worker is weed whacking and then blowing the left behind material up and down the street, as if the wind isn’t going to move the particles. 2. You randomly become a comedian to the person watching you pace your porch waiting for the humming and buzzing to stop, so you can finish your YouTube videos. 3. Super excited to get your oil changed and tires rotated because you’re one step closer to hitting the road. Then you have to wait two hours because the guy broke a tire stud. 4. Waiting to hear from your daughter that it’s OK for her son, my grandson, to spend one last night at my place before my vacation. 5. Wondering if you should mop the floors before you leave, so you come back to a clean house. 6. Making that last dollar to pay your rent for next month, so you don’t have to worry about it when you get back two days before it’s due. 7. You notice you have a farmer’s tan and then realize that you haven’t spent alone time lying on the beach for 18 months or more. 8. You don’t have the energy to stave off unwanted vibrations for your evolution. You begin to take on more vibrations that do not belong to you; hence, critical of situations that do not change. 9. I’m tired of people not knowing who I truly am and not caring enough to find out. On the flip side: Those who read this blog know by now what the flip side truly is. It’s one word. The first to post the correct answer gets a free reading. 1. The maintenance worker noticed that I came in and out of my home and paced the porch. He also noticed I was standing there watching. Once done, he looked my way. I shot him the peace sign. 2. Had some great laughs and a couple fist bumps with the person watching me. 3. Oil change and tire rotation – check. 4. It’s a one-week vacation. My grandson will not forget me – FaceTime and Skype. 5. Clean floors – who cares? 6. Next month’s rent – check. 7. Sunblock bought. 8. ‘Summer breeze makes me feel fine . . .’ 9. Hanging out with friends who have known me since childhood. No need to explain anything. They know. Honestly, now that I’m nearly finished writing this blog, I feel just a bit lighter. The 5 ½ hour road trip to a little bit of paradise 24/7 for a week: Priceless. I do realize that I really need to start carving out a little alone time in a peaceful setting. I did see the Letter ‘I’ in sky in the midst of writing this blog. It’s OK to put ourselves first sometimes. Blessings of Peace and Love
